DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening concert of the Belleville Philharmonic’s 157th Concert Season\, with conductor Joseph Choi and guest artist May Phang. \n\n\n\nOur concert\, A Grand Romance\, features iconic selections from the glorious Romantic Era.The showcase piece is Brahms joyful and radiant Symphony #2\, highlighting the broadest variety of orchestral sounds. We pay tribute to the great unrequited romance of classical music by coupling this Brahms masterpiece with the masterful Piano Concerto in A minor by Clara Wieck Schumann. The program opens with the rousing Ruslan and Ludmila Overture by Glinka.
